David has been involved in the teaching of Medical Students and Junior Medical Officers since 2012. He has taught Cased-Based Learning, Clinical Skills and Medical Professional and Personal Development at both the University of Adelaide and Flinders University Medical Schools. In 2013, David was awarded the Professor Derek Frewin AO Citation for Clinical Teaching by the University of Adelaide Medical School and in 2018 was awarded the University of Adelaide Best Rural Teacher Award.
Between 2019 and 2021, he was the Rural Medicine Coordinator at the Adelaide Rural Clinical School (University of Adelaide) where he lectures medical students all over the state including Port Lincoln, Whyalla, Port Augusta, Port Pirie, Kadina, Clare, Broken Hill, Mt Barker and the Barossa Valley.
David is currently Senior Lecturer at University of Adelaide Medical School.
